Classic Sugarcane Syrup
Manufacturing Process
The sugarcane syrup that embellishes the madeiran tables, is the culminate of a process that begins with the harvest of sugarcane. In the factory, the sugarcanes are introduced in two mills, which extracts the sugarcane juice, called “guarapa”. It’s subject below a filtration, followed by baking in the clarifiers, and then in an another filtration, which ensures the accuracy of the product improvement process. “Guarapa” enters into the evaporators to continue the cooking process and the evaporation of the water that still exists. In the final stage, there is a new cooking and a final filtration prior to the introduction of the sugarcane syrup in the vacuum boiler. Already in the form of sugarcane syrup, there is a passage to a tank where it cools naturally.
Organic Sugarcane Syrup
Organic sugarcane syrup is produced exclusively by our company, which is concerned with selling a product that is more sustainable for the environment and healthier for its consumers. The sugarcane used in this process comes from organic farming, where cultivation methods were used that preserve the soil, the environment and biodiversity, without the use of synthetic pesticides, fertilizers or the routine use of antibiotics or growth hormones. The sugarcane cultivation process and production are controlled and certified by an independent entity, which attests to the appreciation of good environmental practices throughout the production process. Just like the classic sugarcane syrup, the organic version is 100 % natural, without additives, colorings or preservatives, which is extracted from organic sugarcane juice – guarapa, through mills known as mills, followed by filtration and cooking, which guarantee the rigor of the product improvement process.
