Madeira Sugarcane Syrup Cake


Sugarcane syrup cake is definitely the landmark of Madeiran sweets, and for its flavour contributes the sugarcane syrup, oriental spices, nuts and other special secrets. Keeping the tradition of the true sugarcane syrup cake, our has about 20% of sugarcane syrup. Wrapped in vegetable or cellophane and stored in boxes, today you can eat throughout the year. This cake should be cut using the hands, instead of a knife. 

 Sugarcane syrup cake can be stored for a long period of time, taking care to wrap them in parchment paper (traditional), storing them in a dry place and preferably in a closed container (tupperware).
